car seat or potty?
Either Jase finds extreme relaxation in his car seat or he is a genius newborn who has learned how to control his bowels at a very early age, giving his parents great hope for their future potty-training days! Without fail, every time Jase is strapped into his car seat he poops. Every time! It can be a 5 minute trip to the grocery store or the recent 1100 mile- 2 day adventure across the country. We have become so aware of the issue that we sometimes put him into his car seat a good 5-10 minutes before we are planning to the leave house so that he will go ahead and poop and we can get him changed into a fresh diaper before hitting the road. Haha, you can't outsmart us little baby! :) We speculate that he is very comfortable in his car seat, all snug and relaxed and it enables him to just "let everything go". Or maybe it is that after being forced to sit in the car seat for hour after hour while we moved from Oklahoma to Georgia he has figured out that if he stinks up the car enough we will stop driving and he will get a few minute break from the blasted car seat. It's turned into a funny family joke... Until the day we forget the diaper bag or run out of Fabreeze!

Haha!! Or maybe he just gets so excited when he knows he's going to go somewhere, he just can't contain it. By the way, the cardinal rule of travelling with a baby is that said baby WILL have a poop explosion the moment the fasten seat belt sign comes on for takeoff. So you have to just sit there with the smell and then find out 20 minutes later that there are no changing tables on the airplane...
