Morning spent on the farm. Baby J and I salvaged what few grapes we could, the drought has left these vines less than plentiful.
Afternoon spent in Harrisonville making the rounds. I sat outside and had a nice chat with Granny C, Uncle Kevin, and Aunt Laurie while Baby J ran around the yard collecting sticks, playing with Lily (Granny's pup- greyhound/lab mix), and rearranging Granny's lawn ducks.
While in town we stopped to see my secondary parents, the Cooks. It has been a year since my last visit with them, I have always enjoyed my time at their house, and I have spent a lot of time there over the past 18 years. Only thing that could have enhanced the visit would have been having Samantha there with us.
Their grandson Mason (age 8) was over and Baby J took an instant interest in him. It was adorable to watch J trying to mimic Mason. They entertained the adults by putting on a karate/gymnastics show.
